Alert Banner
Dismissible or pinned alerts with severity, schedule and audience targeting.
Alert Banner shows the current, scheduled alerts from a list at the top of a page, each one coloured by severity and with an optional dismiss button. Authors add, schedule and retire alerts from the list directly; nothing about the banner itself needs editing when an alert changes. Site-wide Alert (a later product) reads the same list to put the same alerts on every page across a site.
